How Massively improve sound in Kodi

While a Video plays. Bring up your internal menu and scroll across to the sound icon

Move down to volume amplification

Move it across to desired volume. Then Scroll to bottom... And set as default... Select yes.

Please note do no amplify to the max setting as this will just distort your audio. You only need to adjust it by 10 to 15% to improve the sound.
